TonyInVa May 14, 2010 Author May 14, 2010 Anyone? My guess is no. Wouldn't the sterilizer slow down the bacteria growth that would feed on the nitrates and phosphates?
www.fishnreef.com May 28, 2010 May 28, 2010 You will be sterilizing the bacteria that you want growing...however, most of this bacteria will be living in your tank system. When starting, don't use the sterilizer. This will allow the bacterial growth to reach some critical mass. Later you can switch on the sterilizer. On the other hand, ozone carries in the water and would probably be a worse choice than a sterilizer to run. Hope this helps. Nadir
