rhang December 1, 2009 December 1, 2009 I thought I could get away with not using RO/DI and have a normal setup. Wrong! Can you share some info on brand/model of the unit you guys are using? Thanks Rey

Thanks Rey I have had several. This time I got a Typhoon III from Air Water and Ice. It is a whole different deal. Solid construction and zero TDS from the first time I turned it on. And by the way, outstanding technical support.
Brian Ward December 2, 2009 December 2, 2009 AWI is the vendor of choice here in WAMAS. I'd venture that 50% of members have AWI. They also offer a 10% discount for WAMAS members. www.airwaterice.com
FearTheTerps December 2, 2009 December 2, 2009 +1 for AWI I have a Typhoon III as well. My tap water was reading 475 at the tap, 0 tds after. Works like a charm, only problem i have is i have very cold water so I only get about 40gpd out of the 75gpd membrane
Origami December 2, 2009 December 2, 2009 AWI (airwaterice.com). I added a stage (catalytic carbon) to my Typhoon III, though, so I have a 6-stage RO/DI unit. I also modified it with an in-line dual-TDS meter. Plus, when I got it, it came with a built-in pressure gauge that I don't think is standard with the model. It's more like the "Extreme Typhoon III" except that I run with a 75 gpd membrane rather than 150 gpd, and of course the extra stage. http://www.airwaterice.com/c=ALiDUV32vPvZl...saN/category/1/
