NemesisElite November 8, 2009 November 8, 2009 looking for pros and cons if you've tried em/heard about them http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem.asp...20(2x40%20watt) thanks
lanman November 8, 2009 November 8, 2009 Fish and softies? No SPS? Here is the T5 version - but 24" is the shortest they have: http://www.sunlightsupply.com/aqua/product...tle=Fluorescent Lighting&type=product bob
NemesisElite November 8, 2009 Author November 8, 2009 my fault, forgot to mention they would just be supplemental actinics. my main source of lighting is a 175w MH
jamesbuf November 8, 2009 November 8, 2009 Power Compacts are OLD technology. They don't last nearly as long as T5 bulbs, and they aren't nearly as efficient. I say pass on them. Go with T5s for actinic supplementation.
NemesisElite November 8, 2009 Author November 8, 2009 http://www.marinedepot.com/Current_USA_Nov...TRTRFT5-vi.html what about these. my situation is that i have a 30g cube and the 20'' PC's would have fit perfectly. i guess a little bit of overhang with 24'' wont be too bad?
NemesisElite November 10, 2009 Author November 10, 2009 What about some powerbrite leds? well just got an e-mail from marinedepot saying those lights are no longer available from the manufacturer.. so my attention just got turned to powerbrites, anyone have any experiences? i heard they were narrow and pretty "focused" together? thanks
sportzfish November 10, 2009 November 10, 2009 Yes, true. Have to buy alot of them to get the necessary coverage.
