my fault, forgot to mention they would just be supplemental actinics. my main source of lighting is a 175w MH

Power Compacts are OLD technology. They don't last nearly as long as T5 bulbs, and they aren't nearly as efficient. I say pass on them. Go with T5s for actinic supplementation.

what about these.

 

my situation is that i have a 30g cube and the 20'' PC's would have fit perfectly. i guess a little bit of overhang with 24'' wont be too bad?

well just got an e-mail from marinedepot saying those lights are no longer available from the manufacturer..

 

so my attention just got turned to powerbrites, anyone have any experiences? i heard they were narrow and pretty "focused" together?
