t5's for a 30 " tank

i have a friend that has a 150 gal. tank that wants better lights but the way his canopy is i think t5's would be easier to install than mh's. for a four foot tank how many bulbs should i use? what do you guys think. dont know much about t5's

As many as you can. I know a few people with 120g tanks that have the TEK 8 bulb fixture and have beautiful growth. I think that 8 would be a minimum if your friend wants to keep SPS.

I have an 8 bulb T5 configuration on my tank and the SPS seem to doing very well.

i have a 150g cube with 27" depth. I am running 12 bulb configuration. (2 6 bulb ATIs).

With the depth of a 150g I would run 10-12
