treesprite August 29, 2009 August 29, 2009 As some people already know, I built an external overflow into my tank impromptu because I cracked my tank. Well, after several water/leak test days I hooked up a little while ago... All I can say is WOWZA! My flow has got to be like double what it was, and there is not a single corner or inch of my water surface that isn't moving! I am OVERJOYED with this overflow!

treesprite August 30, 2009 Author August 30, 2009 Don't you just love it when something good comes together in this often-times frustrating hobby?! YAY!! YES!!!! The flow is too strong with my outputs angled the way they are... gonna have to uptilt them a little bit more. There are those 2 outputs from the WAV, one on each end of the tank pointing the long way of the tank, then the 1/2" fuge output - no powerheads and yet all this movement. I actually have that one of the bulkheads capped right now. I put in 3 thinking the 3rd would go directly to the GenX like a closed loop, but the pump was too powerful. That was tried before I had any standpipes in the overflow, so maybe I will try it again, or try one to GenX and one to open sump and still keep the 3rd capped.
