Coral Hind August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 This is just a reminder that Stephen Pro from Icecap will be at the Fins & Feathers social on August 8th and he will be collecting old MH bulbs to take back for their recycling program. It does not have to be an Icecap bulb as they take any MH bulb. Help keep mercury containing lamps out of landfills by recycling and disposing of them properly.
zygote2k August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 I wonder if the recycling program does more than just keep mercury out of landfills? Maybe it's a way to skip some of the manufacturing processes that go into making more halide bulbs? I wonder if there is a deposit on them... I seem to remember that printer cartridges were being taken for free for recycling, now there is a deposit on them as well.
fishcam August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 Will they recycle P. Compacts? Home depot will (and MH's too). Just bring your bulbs to the customer service counter. (I use the one in sterling, off of the 7)
