flowerseller June 26, 2009 June 26, 2009 We are collecting some very nice colonies, including, very nice soft coral, LPS as well as SPS and zoa's to frag at the Frag Fest Extravaganza. We will be fragging while it will be showing on a large screen "top down" so everyone will be able to see just like it was on TV except we will be encouraging you "to try this at home". You'll learn how to mount all the different types of corals and have a chance to try yourself. Plus, all WAMAS memebers will get FREE FRAGS of the corals we demo with and guests will be able to purchase the demos at unreal prices. Some frags we got in will be sold but most are free to our members with the hopes of them passing them on for free as they grow out. We have several awesome demos including, live rock and frag plug making, a plexiglass demo showing several different types of techinques for gluing with several different types of glue, a glass hole drilling demo, and some very nice raffle items including awesome SPS colonies. Also a genuine HOT DOG cook off by two of our members on two different types of fuel. I predict a tie but we'll see. We hope to see you there and remember, "be there or be square". See you Sunday at 1:30
treesprite June 27, 2009 June 27, 2009 but most are free to our members with the hopes of them passing them on for free as they grow out. Can we have a place to track them at least on a voluntary basis for people willing to acknowledge their frag fest freebies with a post? Like a pinned thread under SWAP or something? I'm eternally grateful that the Frag Fest is on a SUNDAY! Thank you for scheduling it that way!!!!
Sikryd June 27, 2009 June 27, 2009 I'll volunteer to frag up that Divers Den acro if you need help Chip

I planned it that way so you could cook your vegtable dogs on a "real grill". See you Sunday.

I second the grateful part, most of the events usually fall on the 3rd saturday of the month which is when I have server maintenance from my job so I can't attend. Hence me volunteering to bring the grill and help out
flowerseller June 27, 2009 Author June 27, 2009 As a hobbyist, I choose one event a year (aside from organizing an excellent group for TOTM) and head that up as my contribution to the club. My way of giving back to something I feel I get alot from. I work Saturdays, so it was a no brainer to do it on a Sunday. It takes a ton of volunteers to make this event what it is.
