Dholmblad June 17, 2009 June 17, 2009 where are you located? I am interested in mushroom richordia rock if you can come down a bit in price. shoot me an pm.

skeety June 17, 2009 Author June 17, 2009 Yeah, to bad I got the PM telling me I am like 9th in line to grab it. hahahaha. Sorry. Yeah..IMO, it's a SUPER deal. (Kinda suprised people are asking me to lower it). hehe but in any case, the other's are just a good a deal, I assure you. So hopefully the other's are appealing too. Like I said, I'd rather 'em be grabbed up than taking them to an LFS. The less moving around these guys have to do, the better for them.
skeety June 18, 2009 Author June 18, 2009 Where are you, Skeety?? bob I live in Damascus...about 10 min north of the Walmart in Germantown.
treesprite June 18, 2009 June 18, 2009 How much are you asking for the 5lb rock with zoas? I'm sorry you are leaving the hobby - hopefully you can get back to it in the future.
skeety June 20, 2009 Author June 20, 2009 How much are you asking for the 5lb rock with zoas? I'm sorry you are leaving the hobby - hopefully you can get back to it in the future. I'm asking for $60. and again, the rock's probably worth 75% of that. and thanks...I'm not *leaving* per say...just taking a few years hiatus. hehehe anyone else interested in any of these corals?
Nate June 23, 2009 June 23, 2009 So whats left? I live pretty close to you. Was thinking I could make a trip and check some pieces out if they are still available.
skeety July 6, 2009 Author July 6, 2009 Only things taken so far is the Ricordia rock . EVERYTHING else is up for grabs. I'm very suprised ... are there no SPS lovers in the DC/MD/VA area? So whats left? I live pretty close to you. Was thinking I could make a trip and check some pieces out if they are still available.
skeety July 6, 2009 Author July 6, 2009 I think the problem is...I need to post pictures: Large Corals: [sPS] Green Slimer acropora (about the size of a football) - $75 [LPS] Trumpet (>100 polyps...LARGE) - $75 [LPS but kinda SPS] Australogyra zellipora (RARE) - $75 (another shot to hopefully give you some scale) [sPS] white/flesh colored acropora (about the size of a baseball) - $50 [sPS] Peach pocillopora damicornis (about the size of a baseball) - $50 [sPS] brite pink acropora milli (slightly smaller than a baseball) - $50 [LPS] Euphyllia (hammer - pear size) - $40 (and again, for scale) [LPS'ish] bright purple w/tan polyped Gorgonia (~8" and 3 branches) - $40
skeety July 6, 2009 Author July 6, 2009 And one more large one, I forgot about for some odd reason. This is a brite yellow (hint of neon green) pocillopora damicornis that is doing VERY good. So good in fact, that in about 10 different spots in the tank, I'm seeing new colonies growing. Which means somehow, this bad boy has spawned and I didn't notice it. If you look in this picture, slightly above and to the left of the coral, (at about about 11 o'clock), you can see one of it's spawned colonies starting to grow. There are a few of these all over. In any case... [sPS] Neon Yellow/Green pocillopora damicornis (about the size of a pear) - $40

All equip is in GREAT condition, and I'd like you to be able to see that.) Details to follow...
skeety September 23, 2009 Author September 23, 2009 So the details: First off...there's nothing wrong with the tank or ANY of the pieces. As I stated in a previous thread..with 2 kids still in diapers, I just simply don't have the time anymore to maintain the tank. Not to mention, the room to store it. While that sucks for me...it's great news for anyone in the area, as you get it all for over half of what it's worth. ALL necessary plubming and accessories included. EVERYTHING you need to keep all fish/corals, especially SPS. - Oceanic 75 Gallon bowfront reef-ready tank - Oceanic 75 gallon bowfront stand (w/DIY cabinet light) - Oceanic Sump 2 / Return pump (Velocity) - Custom Closed Loop System w/Eductors, powered by a Blueline PCX-70 pump. MASSIVE flow and ball-valved plumbing to dial it back. - Automatic top-off system: Float switches with backup protective shut-off. Can't remember the brand off hand, not ATO, but the other big one. - 2 PH probes / Monitors - Lights: Hamilton 2x250w HQI MH with 2x110 VHO's. VHO Ballast is only a few months old. Both are in EXCELLENT condition. Ceiling mount equip included. I even have a few extra unused VHO bulbs I kept around in case..yours free. - Chiller: Pacific Coast Imports CL280 (1/10HP..but don't let it fool you, this thing is strong enough!) - Skimmer: MyReefCreation's MR-1 w/PCX55 pump (high quality skimmer!) - CA Reactor: MyReefCreation's CR1 (high quality reactor) w/ALL necessary eqiup. Pumps, pH controller, CO2 tank & regulator, tubing, everything!! - TONS of odds and ends: 3+ Heaters, 3+ timers, 2 power strips, bunch of 5gal buckets, a big 30+ gal Brute mixing bucket (and a Mag5 to mix it, as well), Salifert test kits for almost everything, pH calibration packets, cleaning equip, some dosing odds and ends, all the manuals for the equipment, a bunch of extra plumbing parts (if you want them) and a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff! - ALL NECESSARY PUMPS / PLUMBING!! * * Overflow Return plumbing designed for behind (not under) the tank set up. If you will set up with your sump somewhere else, you will need a small <$5 part to change the direction of the drain pipe or flex plumb it to wherever you'll have your sump. But that's the only exception. ALL other necessary parts/plubming for EVERYTHING are here!! I'll post close-up pictures of everything below!
skeety September 23, 2009 Author September 23, 2009 (edited) The tank: Oceanic 75 gallon bow-front tank on Oceanic bow-front stand. (stand goes with this tank. Not homemade, or "it fits, so it works"...this is the stand intended for this tank by Oceanic). Close/Side view of the glass. No scratches I'm aware of. The Sump: Edited September 23, 2009 by skeety
skeety September 23, 2009 Author September 23, 2009 - Automatic top-off system: Float switches with backup protective shut-off. Can't remember the brand off hand, not ATO, but the other big one. Everything you need. Just add water!
skeety September 23, 2009 Author September 23, 2009 - 2 PH probes / Monitors - Lights: Hamilton 2x250w HQI MH with 2x110 VHO's. VHO Ballast is only a few months old. Both are in EXCELLENT condition. (the light fixture itself can be seen on top of the tank in the first picture that shows everything. I forgot to take pics of just the light fixture...If you're interested, I can take more)
skeety September 23, 2009 Author September 23, 2009 - Chiller: Pacific Coast Imports CL280 (1/10HP..but don't let it fool you, this thing is strong enough!) FYI..this chiller was just recently (4-6 months ago?) rebuilt with replacement parts from the company. New internal cooling fan as well as controller unit. As a result, you get an not-so-new chiller, but with pretty-dang-new guts! (I can explain more on this if you want details)
