NightOwl April 14, 2009 April 14, 2009 Anyone have a 1 3/4" (44mm) I can borrow to drill two holes with? Preferably someone on the VA side I have a tank with a 3/4" bulkhead and it is just not draining as fast as I would like. Thanks, Henry
droyal1110 April 14, 2009 April 14, 2009 Its probably in your best interest to just purchase your own. You can get them at blue ribbon koi for like 15+ bucks a piece. 1 drill bit will be good enough for 2 holes. The reason being is if you borrow someones bit, unless its the really expensive ones they get dull and make it more difficult to make perfect cuts on your tank. Last think you want to do is screw up a hole on your tank. Just my .02
NightOwl April 14, 2009 Author April 14, 2009 I am going to buy one but Blue Ribbon Koi does not open till Thursday and I need to drill holes before then.

gioNVA April 15, 2009 April 15, 2009 Found it...it's 45mm. I have the day off tomorrow so I should be home all day. Give me a call if you'd like to stop by.
NightOwl April 15, 2009 Author April 15, 2009 All Done with the holes now . I had to get it done last night as my tank was overflowing every so often since last Friday. I found the root cause to be two snails (shells) has gotten stuck in the return pipes . Francis I sent you a PM on the bit thanks. droyal1110, For some reason I thought they did not open till Thursday...either way I could not wait. The wife was growing tired of the being on tank watch and the sound of the wet-vac .
droyal1110 April 16, 2009 April 16, 2009 Well that's good you got things straightened out. I can only imagine how frantic it was =D
