Brian Ward March 16, 2009 Share March 16, 2009 is there any reason you want uncured? it will make your house smell like rotten eggs for about 6 weeks. If you're worried about money, a trip to Dr. Mac in Salisbury will yield some nice cured rock.
kylemagoo March 16, 2009 Author Share March 16, 2009 dr. mac's prices are 5.99 per lb. i thought a source for uncured might be cheaper. plus i have six weeks to kill while i save some money for the rest of the equipment...

sen5241b March 16, 2009 Share March 16, 2009 Petsmart at 7 corners has bags of dead rock on the cheap. I personally have picked up 40 or 50 pounds off beaches of dead coral skeletons and cured it myself. The stuff looks great and turns purple fast. I thought the point of getting uncured LR was to cure it as quickly as possible, and to preserve organisms that wouldn't make it through the usual spray process. -R
