The plywood was purchased from Northland Forest Products in Manassas. Since it is 13-ply cabinet grade oak plywood--not the cheap 5-ply stuff that Home Depot sells, it costs about $93/sheet. You get what you pay for though and this stuff is great to work with.

My favorite features are the side doors - genius. How many times have I wanted to have access under the stand from those angles... Too many to count.

My compliments.

Hey everyone!

I thought the owner of the stand should maybe add a comment to this. The stand has made it home safe and sound and I couldn't be happier.

Bob's correct, I won't have my tank until spring, I'll be sure and add a few more pics when I get it. Bob, I have to echo a few others here, you are way too modest, you do outstanding work, this will be a centerpiece in my home for many years to come! Thank you so much again!

Phyllis,

First, welcome to Wamas (I know you've been on a couple of months but this is your first official post). And congratulations on a very special tank stand/canopy, it is beautiful.

  • 2 weeks later...

Bob built my stand and hood too. Very well made. Much better than you buy from the factory.
