I'm trying to put a pair of Durso standpipes in my new big HO overflow box.  I am having a hard time finding the right fittings.  Anybody know of a good source in NoVA?  Home Depot ain't cutting it.

Thanks,

Bill

Fischers Hardware in Springfield.

I found what I needed at HD.  I just has to be inventive with the 1 1/2 to 1" conversion.  I also had to trim the elbows to fit in the overflow.

Booze Plumbing in Vienna.  A little pricey, but they have anything you want, or they can order it.  Try a couple different HD's.  I've found that the one at FX Circle doesn't have as much plumbing stuff as the one in Merrifield.  You're probably not going to find bulkhead fittings there, but any other PVC piece you need, they should have.  Marine Depot has a great on-line selection too.

Very low cost true union ball valves (slip fitting only).  Lots of pond plumbing parts which fit reef plumbing needs well.

Everything you can think of.  I've ordered several times from them and they are quick to ship.

I agree with Pez, Fischer Hardware is excellent.  They have all kinds of PVC and hose fittings and lots of helpful staff to that actually can find stuff.

As for Home Depot, I've given up on all their stores except for the Merrifield location.  It is the largest in the area and has tons of stuff.  Unfortunately, you really have to really root around and look for stuff.
