RickCragg January 19, 2009 January 19, 2009 Hello, I have had my tank set up now for over 2 years but had all of my rock before I moved here. My wife was given a 55 gal tank that she wants to make a FOWLR and I was wondering if there was anywhere in the Columbia, MD area to buy base or lace rock. She wants it set up NOW and I don't think she would wait for me to make aragacrete. Anyone know of anywhere? The pet shops are usually too expensive...I have had more luck with landscaping companies, but can't seem to locate any around that sell rock.
djcerna January 19, 2009 January 19, 2009 Base and live rock goes for sale regularly on the members only SALE forum. Join and you will have access to those threads and you will make back your 20 on your first buy. Welcome! David

Coral Hind January 19, 2009 January 19, 2009 Welcome to the club! If you ever make it to Alexandria or if you are going to the next meeting let me know. I will hook you up with some frags.
RickCragg January 19, 2009 Author January 19, 2009 Thanks. I set my tank up about two years ago (with a move in the middle). Mostly real easy corals since my wife is in the Navy - I am retired from the Navy - and we move a lot. I have xenia, zoas, mushrooms, colts, etc in a 75 gallon bow front. I have a 90 gallon corner tank that I will pick up from my Dad's one day and set up. Thank you all for the welcome and my wife works in Alexandria so I just might make the meeting one day! Rick
