need some ideas

As the topic states...need some ideas for the return into a tank. Please voice your opinions on SCWDs, sea swirls, etc., etc.

 

I want to make sure I look at all the options before I make a decision (and just to clarify, it's the return from a sump to a 90 gallon display tank, sump is in the stand, return pump is not set in stone yet).

On my 90g with a Mag 12 return pump I have a OceansMotions 2-way Squirt. One of the outlets goes through the return that is in the overflow, the other I just us PVC up the back of the tank and over with locline at the end to position the flow. The tank is against a wall with no visibility to the back so I do not see any of the PVC (nor in the tank). The outlets are pointing to opposite corners and I get great alternating flow.

if you're going to put it over the sump (it drips a little bit you can have my 1" PVC robo SCWD for free, complete with unions.
