lanman November 26, 2008 November 26, 2008 Your nitrates are way too high, and your salinity is a bit too low. I'd start there. Follow up with an ALK test kit. With no skimmer, and your tiny refugium, the only way you are going to be able to control nitrates is with water changes. It would be easy to change 1/3 of your water in a small tank like that. That should drop your nitrates by about 1/3. Wait a few days and test again - then do another 1/3 water change. bob
