anything other than xenia?

I decided last night that I would finally start the xenia refugium I've been considering for a long time. I'm wonderingt if there is anything else that would do the same job to mix in with it, that will grow under pc light. Anyone know of anything that would do it that is a toss-away coral?

Anthelia? Briarium? Both of these grew for me under an NO light (albeit verrrrrry slowly).

are you going to be using multiple species of xenia? or just one variety?

Assuming you are doing this for nutrient export, you want corals which will add to their own mass at the fastest rate. I can't think of anything that will do this as well as xenia.

Good information. I'm going tonight to get a bulkhead for my drilled 10g tank, and a couple pvc parts to add it into my system. I don't have much xenia available for it at the moment but it will grow.
