davelin315 September 30, 2008 September 30, 2008 Respond to this thread... the kids have questions, doesn't make sense for Doug and I to answer every question every time. Get involved! http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?show...17284&st=50
reefhunter September 30, 2008 September 30, 2008 Do the posts in that forum get displayed in view new posts?

CHUBAKAH October 1, 2008 October 1, 2008 Do the posts in that forum get displayed in view new posts? I don't think they are showing as new posts for me either guys.
davelin315 October 1, 2008 Author October 1, 2008 Not sure, but either way, check it out and be active in the education forum! It's an important branch of WAMAS!
ctenophore October 1, 2008 October 1, 2008 I don't think they are showing as new posts for me either guys. Me either. 'View new posts' is pretty much the only way I browse this message board. If it is older than a day...then it must be boring and not worth reading anymore. Like many Americans, my attention span is only... oooh look! a shiny! Kidding...but it would sure be helpful if the education posts came up in the list with all the rest. I guess that would be my job to fix, if the officers ever get around to giving me and the rest of the interested tech guys some work to do. Hint Hint Dave, Doug...
MisterTang October 1, 2008 October 1, 2008 It would be easier to read if the questions were posted as their own posts, IMHO. I read a lot of forums, and when I see one that spans lots of pages, I tend to avoid it, as it usually contains copious references to Hitler and "you're gay". The only exception is the dedicated tank thread forum on here. When threads span pages and pages and pages, it's too hard to keep track of who said what in the discussion.
GaryL October 1, 2008 October 1, 2008 i answered some of the questions and will keep a lookput since i have subscribed to the link...if no one else answers i will try to answer more

It's in the education forum, one that students will be reading, this is not the refugium!
jnguyen4007 October 1, 2008 October 1, 2008 I will help out too. Just never occurred to me that there is anything in the education section.
GaryL October 1, 2008 October 1, 2008 I will help out too. Just never occurred to me that there is anything in the education section. this is kinda new even though this whole site is educating. i think some people may not have the confidence to post and just look at what others post. there is so much info and mis-info in this hobby that people are afraid to look 'not so smart' and thats why we are members to help each other out..believe me...i'm in the ' not so smart' catagory
davelin315 October 1, 2008 Author October 1, 2008 This was actually moved from the members only section a little while ago and we changed the description to open it up more. As you can see, there have been very few posts over the years. I think that it's an excellent opportunity to open up the site for more educational purposes and intend to up the ante by getting teachers at my school to post at least a little bit with their tanks and also open it up to students to post as well more often. Don't be afraid to look like you don't know everything, I do that in front of my kids every day!
