astroboy September 23, 2008 September 23, 2008 Hello. I need to bump up the Mg in my tanks, and the jug of Tropic Marin Bio Magnesium that I have says to add such and such a number of scoops to up the Mg by such and such amount. Somehow, I've managed to misplace the scoop and darn if I can find anywhere how big it is. Can anyone give me some idea? Thanks!
Origami September 23, 2008 September 23, 2008 (edited) Use this chemistry calculator: http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html Magnesium is on the right hand side. You'll find TM Bio-Mag in the list of products that you can use. Enter your system volume at the top center of the page, your starting and desired magnesium levels, and the product and this calculator will tell you how much of the product to add. Remember 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon, 2 tablespoons = 1 oz (volume), and 8 oz = 1 cup. Therefore, 1 cup = 48 teaspoons. Edited September 23, 2008 by Origami2547
