mogurnda August 5, 2008 August 5, 2008 When the downstairs gets remodeled, I will be doing some tank juggling as well. I was thinking about having a "floating" canopy above the 90, anchored to the ceiling. If the writeups are to be believed, the Lumenbrite minis should be used about 18" above the surface, and do a good job of directing the light into the tank, rather than into bystanders eyes. Experience? Opinions?
scott711 August 5, 2008 August 5, 2008 I have 2 lumenbrights above my tank. and I raised them quite a bit. I really like them.
jamesbuf August 5, 2008 August 5, 2008 In my experience, the Lumenbrights focus the light downward much more efficiently than the lumenarcs. I had the Lumenarc "spread" the light farther out over a larger surface area than the lumenbright. I couldn't get the spread I wanted with just one Large Lumenbright, so I'm going with two minis instead. Should be bright as all H-E-double hocky sticks when its finally done.

Highland Reefer August 5, 2008 August 5, 2008 Scott, what kind of readings are you getting with the quantum meter under these fixtures?
