Snails are spawning (?) up a storm

Never seen this before. Two large snails are puffing out "smoke"... over and over... and our nano water is truly cloudy. Need a water change or do corals lap this stuff up???

Can the corals still recieve light?

I've seen stoma's do this before. Never seemed to hurt anything. Although I've never seen it on a large enough scale to make the water cloudy. Do notice my candy cane puts out its tentacles during the event. Eating them maybe?

I had a massive snail spawning a couple weeks ago. Joe from Fish World in Richmond told me to add some new carbon,and that my skimmer would go crazy. It did. My frog spawn also spawned at the same time. The fish and corals loved it. No ill effects.

What kind of snails spawned?

I had tube worms do that, boy it was a mess... had to run filter socks, carbon. Lost my cleaner shrimp but everything else made it out of the party.

 

That's what I call.... a sticky situation
