But is anyone bringing any frags?

Speaking of frags, why is this event called frag fest?

I will NOT be setting up the normal sale / trade frag tank.

Chip, I'm still not even sure if i will make it to this event. Please let me know what we you would most like us to donate to the frag fest.

So are newbies like me going to be able to get some frags? I have been excited about this thing since I got my tank. I have waited to buy anything until this thing so I can see what all everyone has in the club first!

Frag Fest is an annual event where we demonstrate how to frag various corals. The corals used in the demos normally include SPS, LPS, zoas, shrooms, and other softies. They are normally donated to the club by local vendors and WAMAS members and the frags are usually given away or sold at very low costs. Chip even demonstrated how to frag anemones last year!

This year the frag fest is being expanded to include other demonstrations of DIY projects such as home-made live rock (aragrocrete), glass drilling, (etc.) and there will be plenty of opportunity for people to get involved with some hands-on practice. As always, we'll have free snacks available and I understand there will even be a clown for the kids. This is one meeting that you won't want to miss!

O no I fully intend on being there, in fact I plan on being at every meeting. I just thought by the name that it was going to be this huge frag sale, and or auction that lots of people bring frags to.

It's one of those things that you help make it what it will be.

It's supposed to be a frag fest, not necessarily a frag feast although some might walk away with that impression given what we're expecting to have.

You know all those awesome LFS you go into.

They're helping to make it awesome with killer donations to frag.

Make sure you thank them next time.

Donations from members is also needed.

In particular, softies

Anyone doing a water change or can do a water change Sunday morning, please bring the water in a MARKED 5g bucket or in your pocket.

The more the merrier.

We will have containers on hand to hold it.

I'll be bringing two large pieces of a cabbage leather, as well as one large spaghetti finger then. I'll just want a small frag of the spaghetti back as I am bringing the whole colony.

I'll bring some hunks of yellow Sinularia and green monti cap for fragging. If there is interest, I can also demo fragging photosynthetic gorgonians.

What kind of lighting do these require? I'm interested, but I don't want to kill anything :(

I have always had mine under halides, but they will probably do OK under a variety of lighting. What are you using?

4X54 watt T5 in a 72g. Maybe if I place it close to the top?

I have only 2 members that have sent me PM's wanting some grape caulerpa. I have tons of it. If you want some for free please send me a PM and I will bring it to the frag fest.

Cheers,
