ctenophore June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Safe, but it can be a difficult fish to keep in a new tank. They need lots of live food until they can be weaned onto frozen mysis.
Hilary June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 I've heard of them nipping at clams and eating featherdusters, but in two months I haven't had any problems with mine - model citizen!

Almon June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 I've had one for more than a year. It's a beautiful fish and has never bothered anything that I'm aware of, except Aiptasia. I feed my fish a lot, twice a day with mysis, brine, and a variety of other frozen foods. I can take a rock containing Aiptasia from another tank and put it it the main reef and the CBB will immediately start removing the pests. That long thin mouth is amazing at removing Aiptaisa from small holes.
Hilary June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Between my copperband and the peppermints my aiptasia was also wiped out. I was lucky - my copperband was eating frozen brine and mysis immediately, but when I first got it Martin advised me to make sure I had a good pod population and to feed live supplemented brine shrimp.
