newfish February 8, 2008 February 8, 2008 I have a hippo tang that when my lights go out she squeezes herself inbetween my LR. As soon as they come back on she comes back out and is acting normal again. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this. Is there something wrong with her that I just dont know about. Thanks for the help Josh
steveoutlaw February 8, 2008 February 8, 2008 it's normal. I believe that is how they sleep. Mine did that for years.
rioreef February 8, 2008 February 8, 2008 From the first day mine has made it sleeping quarters the branches of my frogspawn. During the day if I get close the tank it will scoot between monti cap frags I have lying on the sandbed.

Bob February 9, 2008 February 9, 2008 Seems to be a normal thing for this fish. My Hippo has moved locations several times as he/she has grown and is unable to fit into previous spots. It is surprising how such an aggressive fish at times can also be such a wimp over such small things. Mine also hides when I turn off the main pump to feed. He eventually comes out and frantically eats........
