Well, I picked up a purple and a yellow tang from Gadgets over the weekend. My first tangs, other than the little Pacific Blue I got a week or so ago. So, naturally I put some macro-algae in the tank on a clip. The tangs made it go away... fast... so I put some more, and the same thing happened, and this morning I left a nice piece of Nori, which is now gone.

Should I limit how much greens I feed them?? To how much?? I'm fortunate enough (fortunate for me, not them) to have no algae in the tank - so this is their only real source of 'snacking food'. They also eat every piece of meaty food they could get their mouths on last night when I fed my regular meals for the rest of the fish and sun corals, etc.

Thanks for any info!

bob,

In terms of the green stuff, you can feed them as much as they'll eat. If anything else, I'd try to limit the amount of meaty food they get (may not be easy!), since it's a smaller part of their natural diet.

Maybe if they chow down on lots of greens, they won't be so greedy when it's feeding time for the other fish.

asian market time. All I have is a 2" tang and it eats half a large sheet of nori every single day plus alternating days flake and frozen.
