newfish January 28, 2008 Share January 28, 2008 I know that these are not the best pics but I got a piece of live rock that had two of these things on them. They are some sort of snail but it doesnt actually have a shell to go in. The "Shell" that it has almost looks like a tick body or something like that or half of a Bi-fold shell(if thats the proper term). They are extremely fast and they stick on very well wherever they are. I just want to make sure that they are not bad. Sorry for the poor quality of pics Thanks for the help Josh
vaironman January 28, 2008 Share January 28, 2008 Not sure on the white color snail. The black snail without shell is nassaurite (spelling ?) snail and it's good for the tank, no issue there.
gastone January 28, 2008 Share January 28, 2008 Stomatella varia snails. Benthic breeders, ergo good reproducers in the home aquarium. Good algae eaters as well. G.
