gmubeach June 6, 2008 Author Share June 6, 2008 Refugium? and a protien skimmer and weekly or biweekly water changes... in addition I only feed my fish what they need twice a day and they beg and beg! Oh and I only use do/ro water from the pet store or other wamas ppl... Oh and for the record I do have some nasty macro in my tank that I don't have a picture of because its bad.. Before I shoot pictures I clean the rock and put it back in the tank, but the stuff keeps coming back... The tank has been running for about 1 year and I've had it for 3years before I upgraded the lights... the live rock was the same stuff from the first tank, but everything else including the light is new! If your having trouble with phosophates check your foods/water its probably one of the two... as for me I feed them micro pellets and it seems to be the best choice! gmubeach June 7, 2008 Author Share June 7, 2008 Well got a lot of new corals some are doing better then others still working out the kinks of keeping sps and placement of large rocks covered in zoos while not letting them touch the sps anyway heres some pictures and yes I use shells as frag plugs and I know it looks silly! bshriver June 8, 2008 Share June 8, 2008 (edited) Yep I am defenlty done buying corals for a while time to sit back and let stuff grow! I gave Lance two blue kisses instead of one blue kiss and one green eyed girl (remember I was unsure about the one bag). Tell him you'll pick up the green eyed girl (and a free make up frag) for him if he gives you the extra kisses Edited June 8, 2008 by bshriver

gmubeach June 16, 2008 Author Share June 16, 2008 (edited) Hi wamas members, New items up to the "gear inventory" I picked up two things from discreetkarma I hope his back feels better after his surgery and he can continue reefing! Filter guys brand six stage RO/DI machine with tds meter, and a home made(Excellent workmenship) water holding tank.... He put in a float switch so the water won't over flow once its done(drainwater won't stop though) and a valve to remove water into a bucket. He included an ato top off its too big for my small tank, but maybe the next one.... Which is the second big news for my saltwater career(job pending) I am starting to build a new reef tank.... Current equipment 44 gallon pentagon corner tank(You can't really find these anymore) and a stand.... I am working on drilling it now! Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't crack! I also broke down and purchased a new UV Sterilizer they stopped making my old one see picture above and I picked up a submariner its too large for the current nano, but it will work good on the upgraded tank! jason the filter freak June 19, 2008 Share June 19, 2008 I love the fuge/skimmer set up creative...
gmubeach June 19, 2008 Author Share June 19, 2008 It was creative until I realized that if I loose pump a in the sump area the fuge will stop flowing but the pump on the skimmer will keep sending water over the over flow:) cheap fix I put a plastic sand shuvel to ramp the water back into the refugium anyway its working great, but now I have a shovel in my tank:) anyway the monster continues to grow! All corals are healthy !
