UNCHEELS December 7, 2007 December 7, 2007 Hi all. I am new to WAMAS - just moved to the area in July, and started my tank not long after. I have a 35g hexagon (I know).... I still consider myself a newbie to this hobby that relies on experts like yourselves. Right now I have soft corals (shrooms, zoos, frogspawn etc) and they all seem to be doing well. I want to upgrade my lighting though... I have 1 of these: Aqualight with 10,000k & Actinic T5 Fluorescent Lamps - 14W - 24 in. (it has two bulbs). I was thinking about just getting another to make 4 total, but im not sure if this, in your opinion, would be a waste because It still would not be enought to keep sps and anenomes.... I have an abundance of sunlight that hit directly on the tank during sunny days, which I think is a good thing, but I would rather not rely on mother nature when trying to play God. Any advice you could give would be very much appreciated, and if you know of any good deals, new or used, i am interested. Thank you!

I dont know the rules for posting links... but I saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/24-Metal-Halide-T5-HO-...1QQcmdZViewItem Would this be sufficient for good growth and to maintain an anenome?
gastone December 7, 2007 December 7, 2007 See my sig. I've got a 42 hex that I built an oversized canopy for to accommodate a 250W hallide and 2 24" t5s. I don't know where you are located, but I'm in Fredericksburg, VA. You are more than welcome to stop by and take a look. Garrett.

Thanks
txaggies07 December 11, 2007 December 11, 2007 Can anyone tell me if that light in the link would be good enough? Thanks That should do fine. However, most of us on this forum are not entirely comfortable ordering electronics from unknown brands. It might be worth a shot. It should give enough light. I don't know how deep your tank is though.
