In my experience, Kick Ich doesn't work. You really ought to do the hypo salinity treatment. But do it CAREFULLY. You have to get rid of the ich in the whole display. It's a royal PITA, but it's the best way to go about it. Try this article to start with. You'll have to remove inverts, etc. to do this. OR, you can remove all of the fish to another tank and hypo treat that tank, leaving your display tank "fish free" for 6 to 8 weeks so the ich dies off in the sand and rock while you treat the fish.

Been there.... hated it. Good luck!

no i am not. i dont know how to diagnose it truly and no one will come and look. i see white spots so i assumed it was ich

I thought mine was ick, then things got worse and worse. By the time I got a scraping done it BRK, most fish were gone. Came back brooklynella.... If you can get a fish, take it down and get a scraping. They may even let you play scientist and let you look through a microscope and learn something.

if i do a hyposalinity treatment wont that kill my biologial filter. if so what other options do i have it is ich?

I went the route of putting all the fish in a separate tank and treating them while leaving the tank fish-free for a couple months. Believe me, it was well worth the effort.

all i have is a 20 gal. i dont think that would go well. 13 fish in a 20 gal tank will get ugly
