stevil September 9, 2007 Share September 9, 2007 I have some out of control Zoa's on my rock. When I first set my tank up (18 months ago) they were about the only visibile non-fish life that I had for awhile and they were pretty cool.... now they are starting to %$#* me off. They have grown over and even killed some of my other coral. What's a good way to get them under control? I'd prefer not pulling out the rock and boiling it or pulling a Steve Outlaw . If I were to pull out pieces of the rock that I can get out of the aquarium and put it in a dark place for awhile, would that be sufficient? Any other tips or ideas? luceneck September 9, 2007 Share September 9, 2007 You could use the same technique people use to get rid of aiptasia. Inject them with kalk paste.

davelin315 September 9, 2007 Share September 9, 2007 Trade the rock to someone else. I'm sure there are a lot of people willing to take on the rock if it's covered in zoanthids. Try not to forget that they secrete toxins if you opt for removal!
