Fins & Feathers (F&F) - Great Livestock, Best Prices, and Good Friendly Service

Recommended Posts

I had to write up another review for F&F after my experience yesterday. The past few days have been hellish. I stop by F&F yesterday to replace my Magnificent Foxface that I lost. Sean held the fish for me until I could get things under control. I got there and saw a ton of beautiful fish in stock. They weren't as exotic as what some of the vendors get in, but they were certainly beautiful. I'm still amazed to see how cheap their livestock is. Sorry guys, I told Sean that he need to raise his prices because they were so cheap. No one, I repeat no one comes close to the prices F&F has on their live stock. The only place that comes close is Roozens, but I refuse to go there.

So yet another big thumbs up for Sean and his staff. BTW, don't forget to bring your WAMAS card :)

Does Sean still answer PM's on here?? I've sent him several PMs with no response. Just wondering.

I'm not sure. I really haven't seen him on here in awhile. You can always call. He also has email. I know he gets it and if you ask a question, he'll probably respond.

he's so busy right now that responding to PMs or email is chancey at best... i believe on the board he's just posting sales and not participating, per se.

call the store if you have a question! don't be afraid of the phone people :)

I was there on Tuesday and was informed that they are not currently giving a WAMAS discount. They told me that Sean was in the process of renegotiating with WAMAS about that. Not sure what that means.

This is in no way meant as a criticism, with or without a discount it is still an excellent store with great selection and prices. I just wanted to share the information.

yah confirmed. I called yesterday about a phytoplankton discount, and the lady on the phone said no more. Anyone know whats up? They were my close store in ashburn!

I know that he was thinking about redoing the discount program over there. I didn't mean to start a discussion about it...I was just quoting one of his old messages LOL. Regardless of a WAMAS discount, loyal customer discount, etc...the prices are darn cheap. I went to BRK awhile ago and bought some things and I found out that there wasn't a WAMAS discount there either, but their prices are good. Actually, I heard that they don't offer a WAMAS discount because their prices are already cheap. From what I saw, F&F is cheaper and by the same logic, I can see why they wouldn't offer a WAMAS discount.

I didn't realized he actually officially stopped. Sorry if I gave them a headache or any of you guys. Regardless of the discount, you are hard press to find the stuff cheaper.

Great prices on everything. Discount or not. A discount does not dictate what store I go to. In times of need a vendor can be a valuable friend, and possible savior of lots of money (livestock), more than any discount can provide.

Sean's knowledge is not something that has a price and he provides it freely. The only vendor I have seen that will put a fish under a microscope to determine what caused its demise to prevent other deaths.

You won't be disappointed at F&F (my local neighborhood LFS store).

Long distance post...monitoring the boards from Canberra, Australia! No, not near the Great Barrier unfortunately.
