So, I woke up today to find my rbta had moved from its normal spot onto the front glass, leaving a "stung coral" path like a tornado through a KS trailer park. So I had to punish him, "Chip Style".

Everyone looking good, inflated, and attached to rubble in the containers. Thanks to Chip and Phil for posting up the videos that gave me the courage to do so.

Woohoo! Way to go, Doug!

And the punishment fit the crime! For coral-stinging, the sentence is being drawn and quartered!

Which got me wondering - how many of these things do we have in the club now?? And are they all from the same original anemone? That is reefkeeping at its best - we're not taking anything from the ocean to satisfy our need for this beautiful animal.

Now, if someone could just find a way to frag elegance coral...

The answer is "Yes" they all started out aquarium life as one anemone. Ask Chip to break out the concrete saw to show you how to properly frag an elegance coral.

My RBTA split on me this week and one kept moving around until i could find it. Last night i saw it was in the overflow and got manually split. Did the same as you did with the cup and netting over the top and they both looked good this morning. Now i got 3! Seems they are pretty hardy animals unlike i once thought

And are they all from the same original anemone?

I got (stole) my clone from Craig (gatortailale) a year ago, but I could not get to split "naturally". Craig got his from Scott Blackburn I think. This particular lineage has been in the trade for probably close to 8 years I'd say, if not longer.

how big are the new anemones and are you going to be selling them?

Great Job :lol2:

Just wait till big brother imposes his tax on any future sales .
