zobey June 2, 2007 June 2, 2007 can enyone help me to figure out a way to get my leopard wrasse to eat anything other than live brine? I got him about a week ago, and I'm worried that he won't last long eating only brine. Any suggestions on other foods? He is really picky even with the brine.

davelin315 June 2, 2007 June 2, 2007 If I'm not mistaken, leopard wrasses are very difficult to keep (I could be thinking of the wrong species). If I am right, they require a very deep and soft sand bed and are notoriously bad eaters (of course, Chip's is proving the theory wrong). I thought that the majority of what they ate was microfauna from the sandbed?

My Leopard is over 1 yld for me and the pinstripe wrasse is 6mo. Both model citizens but do take advantage of a 15+ yld sand bed at night.
eddi June 3, 2007 June 3, 2007 (edited) I had heard Leopard Wrasses were difficult eaters as well, but I have a pair and I, fortunately, did not have any trouble getting either to eat. I have had them for about 18 months now and both seem to be doing quite well. Edited June 3, 2007 by eddi
