ctreptow November 24, 2004 November 24, 2004 Hi All The DIY CA Reactor group is getting ready to build. Since I haven't used a CA reactor before I would like to find out what Co2 regulators you are using? I see regulators in all the stores but I want to make sure we get one that will work and of course save money. Thanks for your input. Chris
dchild November 28, 2004 November 28, 2004 As a reefkeeper/homebrewer I know tha tyou can get CO2 regulators relatively cheaply (~50) from brewing sites, esp eBay, and also locally from Bars By Bud in Merrifield or Jays Brewing - Bars By Bud also carries all the parts necessary to maintain your regulator and CO2 systems. Now, I don't know if the regulator required for a reactor is different than what you need to dispense beer. However I do know that if you set up a fridge next to your tank, you can have beer on tap next to your reef, both powered by the same CO2 canister. It's the best of both worlds! dchild
craby December 1, 2004 December 1, 2004 Miller, Does the AB regulator include the solenoid and needle valves in the $90? If not then MRC seems to be comparably priced.
dbartco December 1, 2004 December 1, 2004 the mrc one you can get cheaper probably elsewhere. It's a milwaulkee model #?? that has the bubble meter on it that I like.
flowerseller December 1, 2004 December 1, 2004 Look on ebay. They have them all the time for 90 bucks complete w/free shipping. I've been threatening to buy one since June.
