Guest Faustous March 5, 2007 March 5, 2007 I am new to WAMAS... but LOVING it!! The idea that there are so many people that are willing to help out is AWESOME and LOCAL!!! Anyways, didn't seem to be alot of people posting here, so I thought I was post up! Pictures coming later tonight. I am the keeper of a 14g BioCube that... if I were to be honest, wish I hadn't bought. For the price... I could have gotten a LARGE used system instead :( But, oh well.... (youth and ... something something... forgot the Ginko...). First thing that I did: remove the bioballs. Read too many things about how they were more of a hinderance than a benefit. Next, I replaced the stock pump with a Maxi-Jet 900 and a Hydro-Flo. Love it! It does get stuck once in a while but no biggie. Then, I cut some plastic out of the way from chamber 2 and 3 to provide more flow to chamber 2 where I put filter floss over the grate. There isn't much in my tank as far as coral. I have approx. 12lbs of live rock with no base rock... I didn't know anything about it at the time. and just added some polyps... not sure what type exactly (I know... I am horrible) and some Pulsing Xenia. For fish I have a pair of Ocellaris Clownfish, 1 firefish (that hides under a rock, unless there is food out!) and very small (1") clown goby. Cleanup crew is nothing special, cept for Fred and Ginger, the pair of Cleaner Shrimp. Not sure what else to mention, I will probably think of more later. Not sure how much longer I will actually have this tank, since my wife made a mention of how nice it would look to have a pair of corner tanks in our breakfast nook, one for freshwater (currently have a 29g freshie) and one for the saltwater!! I LOVED the idea (umm, bigger tank, more toys... duh). So I may be looking to sell/trade off my Biocube in order to help get a pair of corner tanks/stands/canopies.

Holler when you want to sell off the biocube; I have a friend that would consider it a very pleasant surprise gift. Even if she doesn't know so. I have a 24-gallon aquapod; so I'm a WEE bit too big for the nano category. I think I could set up a smaller one for her that she'd like, and that wouldn't be TOO much work. Meanwhile - welcome to WAMAS! I just started the hobby in December, myself! bob

So far only on some frags I've picked up or purchased - I have two types of green bubbles and 3 aiptasia's. I'm still figuring out how best to attack them. bob
