tygger September 14, 2004 September 14, 2004 I've never attended any events like this before and I don't think I'll be able to attend the seminars, but are the exhibits worth $20/person?
Sph2sail September 14, 2004 September 14, 2004 yer darn right it is... Check out our MACNA Photos page (right on the home page under recent history). Way cool stuff. Vendors galore with the latest toys, colonies, frags, equipment, you name it. s
michaelg September 14, 2004 September 14, 2004 www.macnaxvii.com Of course it is also right there on our home page at www.wamas.org as we are rather proud of the fact that we are hosting it [nana] . [sph: made links clickable and added editorial comment]
tygger September 14, 2004 Author September 14, 2004 I saw the pics, but will the $20 admission give you access to those vendors? So what is the $100+ fee give you access to? Seminars?
michaelg September 14, 2004 September 14, 2004 Yes- the $20 is for the tradeshow only. The $100+ is for the whole shebang all talks, tradeshow. A little more for the inclusion of the social events. There is also a 1 day charge for those that can't come for the 3 days events (which includes tradeshow for that day and all talks). As of now, there will be 3 breakout sessions each with a particular theme in the morning, and 3 big name keynote speakers in the afternoon.
michaelg September 14, 2004 September 14, 2004 A formal announcement about MACNA will be coming shortly bringing everyone up to date with where we are at and where we will be going. Michael
Guest clownfish4 September 14, 2004 September 14, 2004 Is there a difference in the pricing if we are volunteering to help? Also, what are the different ways we will be able to volunteer?
michaelg September 15, 2004 September 15, 2004 That is currently in discussion and should be figured out real soon. We are going to TRY to work out something specifically for students.
Sph2sail September 15, 2004 September 15, 2004 Is there a difference in the pricing if we are volunteering to help? Also, what are the different ways we will be able to volunteer? As Michael said, we are working the details. Ideas for consideration are trading volunteer work time for reduced fees, swag, etc. We will need a LOT of volunteers. More info to come very shortly. steve
tygger September 16, 2004 Author September 16, 2004 What's the schedule for this event? I wanna check out the exhibits, but probably can't make it until tomorrow after work or Saturday. Do the exhibits (for the $20 fee) run all day?
