AquariaUSA August 8, 2004 August 8, 2004 Just wanted to get a head count of the WAMAS members who plan to go to MACNA in Boston on September 10-12th. If you plan to go, have you registered? Do you have lodging? Did you sign up for the free exhibit admission (which expires August 10th?). The trip is about 425 miles via car, taking only about 6.5 hours. Flights are pretty cheap if you book in the next week or two. See ya in Boston!!!
GaryL August 8, 2004 August 8, 2004 i hadnt plan on going, we have friends in boston and could stay with them, my wife seems to like the idea of a "visit" so we may go. ill post later if i am or not
AquariaUSA August 12, 2004 Author August 12, 2004 Nobody from WAMAS is planning to go to MACNA Boston this year? A few members may like to carpool with others for those that are not posting they plan to go...I am taking 1-2 people up with me already. Anyone else driving, flying, taking a train or boat?
Gatortailale August 19, 2004 August 19, 2004 Wife is letting me go - Plus going to man WAMAS booth to sell tickets & make connections with vendors for next year. :p
AquariaUSA August 19, 2004 Author August 19, 2004 Thanks Craig, hope to see more people help ya out! What booth # is WAMAS?
Sph2sail August 23, 2004 August 23, 2004 WAMAS is sharing the MASNA booth to market MACNA XVII. We believe it is much more in the general interest to have a shared presence at this show with MASNA, as it IS their brand and show. We are doing a lot not to be as secretive as the Boston organizers, as we think this brings in a broader participation and audience to the show. s
AquariaUSA August 28, 2004 Author August 28, 2004 Bump I think the Boston club is doing a great job thus far! That is a pretty big city to contend with, expensive as well, but coordination can always be a PITA. I would think that next year WAMAS will have to contend with an even larger attendance, mainly due to DC being a major draw for tourism. Anyone else going from WAMAS?
michaelg August 28, 2004 August 28, 2004 Reefmon is going, and I hope to head up myself. I will mostly be doing speaker recruitment For all of us, it is a working trip to get things really rolling for next year. Michael
