PupChow November 9, 2006 November 9, 2006 I am trying to find some Tapetum Anemone (mini-carpet) locally before paying big bucks for one online... I am actually interested in both the original mini-carpet and the more recent bigger carpet anemone. Do you know where I might be able to find one locally?
dandy7200 November 9, 2006 November 9, 2006 I'm in the same boat as you. I have two of the maxi's that I paid big bucks for and all of the usual sources for the mini's are not selling at this time. I am looking for several more of each, let me know if you find something and I will do the same. Dan
NAGA November 9, 2006 November 9, 2006 I was told just the other day that I have 3 of these mini's. Didn't know they were there and that they were so sought after. I really don't care about them and if they can be taken off of the rock without too much difficulty I will sell them. PM me with your contact information if you are interested. Jeff

Jeff Jeff, If they are in your big tank, I would suspect you have quite a few more, IME: the mini's wander quite a bit. Removal? Best to take the rock or catch them when they are moving. When happy the have the foot planted pretty deeply in a crevice. Best of luck folks.
BeltwayBandit November 9, 2006 November 9, 2006 I'll second the moving bit. I got one from Gastone and put it in the tank, watched it walk away from where I put it and haven't seen it since. Oh well. It will turn up one day. BB
PupChow November 9, 2006 Author November 9, 2006 Thanks guys! I have pretty limited space (65g) so the smaller size of the anemone means I can add some more diversity without taking up too much estate. PM-ing!
NAGA November 10, 2006 November 10, 2006 turns out I have 3..........I did find another one.............they do nothing for me so I will sell them. I'll have to take a look at being able to get them out. I don't think it will be a problem.
NAGA November 10, 2006 November 10, 2006 I just tried to look to see how to take one of these off. The rocks they are on are kinda large but, if you guys know how to take them off be my guest.
dandy7200 November 10, 2006 November 10, 2006 If you have a powerhead to blast them a bit they should loosen their grip to try and move, that or hang on for dear life .
