howaboutme December 19, 2022 Share December 19, 2022 That's not a wrench... This is a wrench! For those of you, like me, that overtighten your RODI filters and don't have the leverage to loosen them. Plus, it's steel and won't soften. Comparison:
YHSublime December 20, 2022 Share December 20, 2022 I take my RO out/over the sink when I replace the filters

I can't imagine you have good leverage w/ the RODI all loose.

I do, never found it to be an issue. But if you do, your longer handle is a great solution!
flooddc December 20, 2022 Share December 20, 2022 lol I used 2 wrenches (180 degrees) for better leverage. You can use a pvc pipe and slide into the wrench handle to assist with loosing the canister. Personally IMO, the metal wrench is nice but could damage the canister. RO canisters should be hand tight and if needed a slight nudge with the wrench. I agree, I guess I goofed the last time I tightened it and I can't, for the life of me, get it unscrewed with what I have now. I will be careful not to damage the canister but good point!
