rocko918 October 6, 2006 October 6, 2006 I have heard and read terrible things about AquaTraders. Do a search on RC and you will see lots of things. I would Avoid, although i have no experience with it.

flowerseller October 6, 2006 October 6, 2006 My neighbor, kngfisher, bought one from ebay for around the same price but he had to assemble it. It was nice enough, and he was managing it very well, so I made one 36" x 5" x 12" but used a slightly different baffle configuration. It's a great way to add a fuge in a space that might otherwise be wasted. I'll see if he can find the link.
rancor1 October 6, 2006 October 6, 2006 I think it's a Chinese knockoff of an Aquafuge. I've got one. It looks identical, except for the outflow and powerhead - oh it as looks like they skipped the top cross pieces. I like my hang on the back, though it's a pain to remove it if you have to. I'd be concerned about the lack of cross supports though - once you add sand and water, those things are heavy. In general, the budget concious guy in me is conflicted. It's a good deal - but it's also fairly directly taking money out of the pocket of an American company that manufactures in America (at least I think all their production is US).
kngfisher October 6, 2006 October 6, 2006 http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp?PageA...&ProdID=284 Anyone know much about this one? Thanks .. Riley I have a simular one on my 90....36x4x12....got it off ebay for about the same and flowerseller built one from looking at mine....works well in my view....I just have it packed full of chaeto used for neutrient export.....what are your plans for it....I would not suggest filling it with sand for a HOT DSB just because of weight but for growing macro it works great...mine runs a mj1200 for water flow...
dandy7200 October 6, 2006 October 6, 2006 Dude????? I know for a fact you have a sump. You need to switch from a HOB mentality to the DIY one. Get a 5 gallon bucket and drill a hole for a 1" uniseal near the top and put uniseal in hole. Next insert a 1" pipe into the unseal that the pipe runs into your sump. Get one of the many powerheads I know you have laying around and attach tubing to the output. Put end of hose in 5 gallon bucket with a siphon hole near the top. Go get a $5 clamp on light and 5000k-6000k floodlight and clip to bucket. Get some macro at fall meeting and put in your new fuge.
