Maybe it has to do with the properties of glass it's self, I'll be thats it.... both of the windows and the tank. I know that glass does many things to the wavelenght etc. of sun light, that sunlight shining directly on water would't be subjected to. I think my physics and bio professors would both give me a cookie and smack me at the same time for this lackluster explaination. But i think I've got a point

a leak in thet case or line of the return pump?

2 pertinate questions. How old is your sand bed, and when was last time you cleaned your return, skimmer, other pumps. And last time you cleaned your power heads... maybe 3 questions

Reef safe is a relative term, there was an earlier thread about using that stuff as a last measure and ended up with some negative effects... I'd be careful

possible idea ,--> see what others in the club think <--, shift the rock significantly, leave the tang out long enough for every one to establish new territories and then put the tang back in...

From what i've found yellow tangs very in attitude, but often can be quite the nasty customers often. Have you tried moving your rock around.

I have 3x 3/4 inch used bulk heads, with rubber gaskets, no leaks, I also have misc plumming you can have with them you'll need joiners to use the extras, but there are threaded barbs that fit the bulk heads and 3/4 inch hose barbs. Give me a fair price and their yours

Spent some time in "surgery" yesterday, so how did this turn out?

I plan on putting a black back ground on my next tank, and I want to paint the PVC returns and bulk heads the same color. Is there something i could paint them will that won't leach harmful chemicles into my tank?
