Anthia that I got from BRK!
  10. OK, I had two fifty five gallon tanks and broke one down. I took everything from one tank and put it into the other. I had a real bad hair algae problem. I went to BRK and asked them about it. They told me ot get a fox face and some snails. The hair algae was completely gone in a week. But there was some "other" stuff still growing and I cant identify it. It is dark red/burgandy/black in color. It is on my frags, live rock, sand, and even the snail shells now. I have scrubbed the rocks once a week for two weeks. The stuff will not DIE! I have two antheias, a foxface, and a fire angel. List of questions: 1. What is this stuff? 2. How and can it be killed? 3. Does it kill coral or fish? (this stuff has been in the tank for a while and the water tests are not off at all) 4. Should I be thinking about moving coral and fish to another tank or will this polute the other tank as well? Please advise...
  11. Thanks Chris but they arent in the shark tank. Power head is great though almost perfect for my size tank. The frags are growing up slowly after the trauma of being cut up at the wamas meeting. Nates hood is lookin good. I will have to check out the article about the shrimps. Thanks.
  12. I think Im gonna have skunk shrimp babies and dont know what to do. I have 2 sea horses, 2 fire shrimp, 1 coral banded, and about five other skunk shrimps in the tank. Do I need to quarentine the shrimp? How many babies should I expect? Does anyone want to buy or trade for them?
  13. Where is aquarium one and do you still have one? Sorry been real busy.
  14. Thanks. I have been doing alot of reading once I had seen them on a tank of the month piece. Sounds like they are pretty hardly as long as they are fed alot of greens. What does your like to eat if you dont mind me asking?
  15. I had a pair before. I would see goby but never the shrimp. If you do some rock rearranging you will find them. What kind of tank and rock do you have?
  16. They have them in stock or available?
  17. I am really interested in the Magnificient Fox Face but dont kow where to find one. Anyone out there know a vendor or an internet site that offers them? I would love to have a mated pair but will take a single. Or if anyone that has one that doesnt want theirs anymore, let me know...
  18. I have seen this guy once before about a month ago on a different rock but had lost him till today. I have no had a chance to touch him because I dont like to touch unless I know what they are. (I learned that when I first started in the saltwater hobby and I bought a foxface from Centreville Aquarium and no one told me they were toxic and I put the guy in the tank by hand) But anywho, he looks soft, and the white tentacles look more like sharp claws with pointy ends. I didnt see anything that looked similar. I do have three peppermint shrimp and it says that the shrimp eat aiptasia so I think we can rule them out. I dont think it is foraminiferen.
  19. I know, I know. But if you stand back from your screen about 20 feet and pretend that you are staring at my tank you should be able to pretend that you are seeing the "thing"
  20. I know it is really blurry but I have a really bad camera.
  21. OK, after all the articles I have looked at I need some help in identification. I have a little critter in my tank at the top of my reef. He is a little spud about half the size of a dime. He is dark red in color with white tentacles. He has a stalk that looks like a botton polyp. I have a picture but it isnt great. Please advise as to what it is. If it is bad, what do I do with it and how do I ensure that there are no more growing in my tank?
