    Question do we have to put a check valve between the Kalk reactor and the aqualifter? I used the maxi jet with the check valve but one awhile will siphon back to the reservoir. I was thinking to use other method. Sorry to hijack

    Welcome to the club! My first fish was African cichlids also I still like them but don't have time to take care lots of tanks. Salt water more stuffs to enjoy such colorful fish, corals, shrimp, crab etc...but need more time and $

    The tank sitting there very nicely. But don't let too much direct sun light to the tank tho. How do you like the extend stand? It's give you much better viewing right? Can't wait till it get wet Good luck with the tank build.

    I love African cichlids also. I used to keep them. If I ever get out of salt will back to African cichlids.

    I have the 180g mixed reef with 72 cree LEDs 50/50 and 2 T5 blue. But i am not satisfy with the SPS 's color i am not sure because the light or the water par i did not test my water. i 'll attach the pic just give you some idea. Hope it help
