adam, Welcome to the club. What nano cube did you get? I have the orignal cube. I have made many mods to mine. I added a 96 watt powerquad to mine and gutted out the filter section and changed the pump to a rio 600 and put 14 pounds of live rock rubble in the filter section and have 12 pounds of live rock in the tank. I bought my live rock from MS in reston there was all kind of life on it. You should also go on to www.nano-reef.com it is a very good site. Brian

David I got my powerquad from MS and I think I paid $129 for it. It does not fit perfect in the hood so if that is what you want they make a powerquad that is in a hood all ready it is around about $200 or more MS has that too. Brian

I have a 96 watt power quad in mine and it looks great I am getting all kind of great growth in my tank. I am very happy with my light! I also gutted out the filter section and put 2 rio 600 and took the factory pump out. One rio 600 circulates the water in the back section where I have about 10 of live rock rubble. The other pump I drilled out the *** where the factory pump was and stuck the other pump through the hole. The mods I made run me about $160 but it was worth it. I was wondering how many gallons of water a 1" bulk can handle? I was also wondering what is a good internal pump that is not very noisey? I want to move more water through my sump. Right now I have about 500 gallons going through there. The pump is starting to act funny ang getting noisey. I do not know the name of the pump it came with the wet dry I bought from asp. I got the 96 watt retro yesterday. I put the light in today and am going to re do the pump tomorrow. I can not wait to get the tank going again. I can't wait till the next frag party because I have fraged anything before. I have several that need to be fraged and hope to trade so I can get my nano going. Brian :D

I found the 96 watt pc retrofit kit at hello and that fish place for $120. So not as bad as I thought. I am also going to change the whole water return. I am not sure what I am going to do just yet. I will keep you posted on my progress. 1 question though is 96 watts enough light for sps? Thanks again for any input is very thankful. Brian

You won't believe what happened to me!! My nono cube was running great. It was set up for about a week. Then I get a call from my wife she says water is shooting out of the tank she gets shocked try to turn it off (she is ok) the light burst power strip is toast! I got home about an hour or so later and the elbow came off the bulkhead so now I am bumming because I have to redo everything and spend about another 150 to 200 dollars for a new light. Thought you guys might find this intresting and would feel my pain! Thanks for reading Brian

Grav and Nathen, I went and checked out roozens they were great. You were right they had all kind of coral and fish. Grav 120g tank and the 110g sump will be about 6 months till I start to set it up. I have to save up the funds to set it up. I am going to buld a coustom stand and canopy for it. Then once I build the stand I will plumb it in. A one 150g sounds great maybe we can get together at the meating and talk about it. My wife and I will both be there. We both have a passion for reef tanks and need to learn alot more. Grav I am looking for other places to shop. I know ms is a good store but I like to have other options. I am getting ready to set up a nano and a 120g tank with a 110g sump so I am trying to find a couple of stores to get some ideas for the tanks. I think I want to get into sps and clams and such.

Can anyone tell me if there is any good local stores besides marine scene? Because there prices are outragus and lately there selection has not been very good. Thanks Brian
