  1. I'd like to buy the 6-line and the peppermint shrimp. Jon
  2. I think anemones move to whatever lighting and flow conditions they find optimal. Maybe yours is trying to get to the higher flow area near the output of the powerhead, but ends up getting sucked in the intake, which is probably nearby, right? Maybe you can adjust the powerhead to point more directly at the anemone's "perch" on a rock, and give him enough flow so that he doesn't move. Another solution might be to set the powerhead in a position where the anemone can't get sucked in. Mount the PH farther from the tank wall and rockwork so that even when extended, he'd have to let go to get to the PH. It may be hard to rig a PH from the top of the tank, but you might prefer it to anemone puree. Happy reefing, Jon
  3. Thanks for the help, guys. I'd love to trade frags, but I have to get some first. I just finished plumbing the tank last weekend, and I'm finishing the hook up of the RO/DI so I can make some water and fill it. Happy reefing, Jon
  4. Fellow reefers, Anyone know a convenient place in Fredericksburg to get CO2 for my Ca reactor? Happy reefing, Jon
  5. I'm interested in your LR if you decide to part it out. I'm about to set up my 125 again. Happy reefing, Jon
  6. Has anyone had a positive sighting of southdown or old castle sand lately? I've checked the HD in Fredericksburg and Stafford, the Lowes in Fredericksburg, and the Wal Marts in Fredericksburg and Stafford. Happy reefing, Jon
  7. I stopped by the HD in Fredericksburg, but couldn't find sand that looks like southdown. Has anyone made a positive sighting? Happy reefing, Jon
  8. Fellow reefers, Anyone seen Southdown sand at Home Depot lately? I'm setting up my tank, and looking for a few hundred pounds. I've called around, but most stores act like I'm speaking Cantonese (which I'm not). Happy reefing, Jon
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll look into the novus polishes, but I was hoping to find a place that will professionally polish the tank so it looks like new. I live off of route 17, a couple miles west of I95...seems like every street in this state has a number. Happy reefing, Jon
  10. I've just moved to the Fredericksburg/Stafford area from San Diego, and I'd like to get my acrylic tank professionally polished before I set it up again. Any place around here that you would recommend? Happy reefing, Jon
