  1. Hi Canaan, You will definitely want some more rock higher up to fill in some of the space and create barriers for both fish and coral. It will also create layers, additional mounting areas and light gradients to accommodate different coral requirements in light and flow. More importantly, (in my opinion) make sure you’re giving yourself enough space between the rock work and the glass. I always make sure to have at least 4 inches (and it’s never enough) of space along the front and sides or the tank. Imagine having to pick something up from the sand, scrubbing algae, using a net or a fish trap. Coral growth should also be considered. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve “fragged” colonies unintentionally. Additionally, having more free floor space allows for greater variety when it comes to substrate dwelling fish, inverts, and coral. Have you worked on a stocking list? They often get thrown out of the window later in the journey but thy can help mold your initial aquascape design. Hopefully that helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks, Mike
  2. @gastone you’re welcome, I think 🤣
  3. Both the tank matez and the nyos bubble traps work well. Chromis are fast though. I ended up using a large icecap trap for my chromis because that bought me some swim distance/time for the trap to activate. That was the last trap that I bought and has worked for all of my needs since.
  4. What type of fish is it. If possible, a fish trap is the best way to go about it. The type of fish will determine the type of tap needed. Thanks, Mike
  5. Hey Isaac, I use ESV 2 part and I’ve never worried about using them in equal parts. I tend to need more part 1 (alk) than part 2. I believe the reasoning behind that is due to trace elements in both solutions. Not sure what’s in what but I’ve never had any issues with not dosing equal parts. It might be safer to just start with daily small water changes, assuming that you like the parameters of your salt mix 😉 Thanks, Mike
  6. Hey Mike, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I’m a bit under the weather at the moment. Tractor supply usually keeps those 100-150 gallon Rubbermaid stock tanks in store if you have one somewhat close by. That’s always been my move for an emergency. You can usually resell them for most of your money back. Hope that helps. Here’s a link: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/search/Rubbermaid 100 gallon?isIntSrch=written Thanks, Mike I.
  7. I’d be interested in the coral, inverts and I couple fish if you’re willing to separate.
  8. Looking good! How’s the flow in that little box?
  9. Sorry it turned it to be such a jerk. Couldn’t tell in my tank because my gold lined rabbit and yellow tang kept both of the small purples in check.
