  1. I added a 10 gallon tank to the frag system strictly for NPS corals. I had all of the equipment already including a small pump, bulkheads, wood for the stand, pvc fittings and 3/4” pipe. Here’s how it turned out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Lynn, what was a hammer going for in 2002? Would be fun to look at old FS posts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Blue Nepthea in the frag tank heading up to the nano soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes it’s bubble algae, more concerning though are the zoas / palys that appear to be on the rock. If you poke/cut this rock to remove the algae wear appropriate ppe to avoid palytoxin exposure. Do not cook the rock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Par readings and AI Prime schedule (na means scape was in the way and I was too lazy to get a measurement) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Mounted the frammers and frogspawn. I still have a large chunk of live rock on the left side that’s simply assisting with filtration for the time being as this new “life rock” cures and becomes populated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Nice build thread! I took readings tonight and will post them at some point. My water column is about 15” in depth from the surface to the sand bed. It looks like the readings will be fine for plenty of softies on the floor and LPS on the scape. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Several new inhabitants. I am dosing: ESV B ionic 2 part daily Acropopower weekly Kent iodine weekly Webcam view from this morning. www.twitch.tv/thetwitchtank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Some updated photos of the scape and current inhabitants. The lower tier of the scape is being added tonight. I took PAR readings on the OEM jbj lighting over the weekend and will take readings on the AI Prime tonight. I like the controllability of the Prime but some initial testing looks like it’s only 2/3 the output of the JBJ lights. Also the disco ball effect with the Prime is noticeable and I’m not a fan. 12. Gutted. I feel for you, those were beautiful pieces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wow what a roller coaster! Excited to see more. The mantis (manti?) are beautiful and also make my skin crawl! Great build progression, keep sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Here is the makings of the scape for the nano. Busted up Carib sea liferock. This stuff is like compressed powder inside. Not a fan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Some more photos of the mandarin and the tank. No filtration aside from biological. Marine pure block, live rock, and ceramic bio media from the old system and frag tank. This morning he looked pale and his head was covered in sand. I for sure thought he was dead. Nope, just sleeping. [emoji1696] hoping he pulls through Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Things have gone sideways as the tank has now become a rehab tank for a green spot mandarin. He’s been in there for a few days. Very thin and emaciated with caved in stomach the first night. Stomach is now flat. I added 1 gallon of mixed Copepods to the tank when I set it up alOng with daily phytoplankton dosing and 32 ounces of pods added daily. The fish is eating pods and live brine. Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate are non-detectable. Refugium in the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. How are things looking today after the H2O2 dips? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. 1:1 peroxide and tank water for about five minutes while agitating with a Turkey baster every minute. This was a last ditch effort that saved a few gonis for me. The polyps that were lost never grew back but the remainder of the coral is healthy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I should note that I have also applied hydrogen peroxide at 3% directly to the coral with a pipet at the location of the infection for approximately 1 to 2 minutes and then transferred to the diluted peroxide dip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. No additional ideas. Revive and the one to one peroxide and water dip has worked for me in the past with Goniopora‘s and brown jelly/suspected bacterial infections. I don’t think you are very close to me, (21061 off of route 100). I do have a couple bottles of lugols. You may have also been able to pick up iodine at the pharmacy. Best wishes. 24. This aquarium was set up for about 1.5 years and I grew tired of the mixed black and white sand, so this is the reboot. All of the live rock, corals, and creatures are in my frag tank system in the basement.
