  1. Ok thanks!! I was hoping so. That's an ok thing to have right?
  2. I noticed these little tiny fast swimming red worms tonight in my biocube. My tank is fallow right now so everything is flourishing... Lol... I do have bristle worms so maybe these are bristle worm epitokes? They are about an eighth to a quarter of an inch and when swimming they are fast. Thoughts?
  3. My two small clowns and firefish absolutely love the nano frenzy. Even while in QT on Cupramine when they didn't want to eat anything else. Thumbs up from me!
  4. Hi Larry, I appreciate the info on reducing the cupramine. And, I have great update on my picky eaters! I offered them the LRS Nano Frenzy and they loved it! Yay! Now I feel much better that they are getting a nutritious meal while recovering. I'm thrilled! Woohoo! :-)
  5. Well they love the frozen brine. Again it's not that they won't eat, they just aren't getting the most balanced diet. They have gotten better with the flakes though so I think if I do flakes and add brine as a treat or every other day that might be ok? Just didn't want to be feeding them candy the whole time... :-)
  6. Thanks Larry! I have a package of the nano frenzy on hold at a LFS and picking it up tomorrow. My guys have been on the Cupramine since 3/7 so it sounds like I could take them off now. Do I just change out all the water or do I need to also run some sort of carbon in the filter? Appreciate the input!!
  7. Thanks thakki. I have the Kent's garlic extreme and put a few drops on all of it before I feed and let it soak in. It's just not doing the trick for anything but the brine shrimp.
  8. Thanks Charles! I should add that they go nuts over the frozen brine shrimp and eat every last morsel.... so it's not that they aren't hungry. Just trying to get a more balanced diet.
  9. Hello! I have two small true percula clownfish and a small firefish currently doing well in a hospital tank almost done with their Cupramine treatment for an ich outbreak (which by the way, how long do you all recommend I keep them on the Cupramine? I've seen lots of variance on this from 2 weeks to 6 weeks). However, they seem to have gotten much pickier in the hospital tank than they were in the main tank on the food side. I was doing a mix of flakes, Rod's, frozen brine, frozen PE Mysis and frozen plankton in the main tank (different things on different days to mix it up) and they all seemed to eat fine as long as the pieces were small enough for them. Now in the hospital tank, they really are turning their nose up to everything except the brine shrimp. I realize Cupramine can affect their appetites and that I want to keep them well fed and healthy while in the hospital tank. They will eat the flakes a little bit, but begrudgingly...lol.... So, should I just let them eat flakes and brine shrimp only until they move back in to the main tank (not til Mid May at this point)? Should I maybe try something new like Rogger's or the LRS Nano Reef Frenzy? I've tried chopping up the PE Mysis very small, but they still give me the stink eye.... Thanks! Rain
  10. Ok thanks! I'll do some homework on options like that. Thank you!
  11. I thought about that too. Recommendations to address that? Is it some sort of wave maker or reef keeper that I need to alternate the powerheads? Thanks!!
  12. Hello! I'm struggling to tweak my water flow to be just right in my 29 Biocube. I still have the stock pump and two Koralia nano 425's. I have a pic below. I have mostly LPS with some zoas and a few odds and ends. My fish are still in QT (two clowns, a firefish, and a YWG). I keep tweaking the direction of the PHs but can't quite get it to not just blow my LPS in mostly one direction. They are both facing forward. Should I put one or both facing in from the sides? I do have the deflector rotator cover on my return too. Appreciate any ideas or pics of good placement. Thanks!
  13. I'm doing frequent water changes and the tank is doing great. I just thought maybe the chaeto would add some value. But if not at that small of an amount, the live rock rubble sounds much easier to maintain. :-) Thanks!!
  14. Thanks for the feedback! Good to know.
  15. I agree with you Tricia! That is the cutest thing I've ever seen!
  16. Hello everyone! I have set up my Biocube 29 with the intank fuge basket and some chaeto. This is next to my intank media basket in Chamber 2 running filter floss on the top, purigen in the middle and chemi pure elite on the bottom. My question is how much am I supposed to have back there and how high should the water be in chamber 2? It's currently about half way up I would say and the chaeto is filling the area between the bottom of the fuge rack and the water line. Should I have less chaeto? More water? It's just fine? I have the nano LED fuge light on it which is working fine. Thanks!! Rain
  17. I picked up the nano glo led and so far so good. Question though. What water level should I keep chamber 2 at in my biocube for the chaeto? Just at the top of it, over it? I have I'd say about 4 inches of chaeto in my intank fuge. Too much? Too little? This is my first go at a fuge. Thanks!!
  18. Thanks so much everyone! I have lots of good options now!!! I appreciate it!!
  19. Hi everyone, I was wondering if there are recommendations on a good fuge light for a 29g biocube? I'm getting the intank fuge and was going to put some chaeto in it next to my media basket in chamber 2. Intank is sold out of their 10w submersible light although I could order it elsewhere if that is the best. Thanks for helping! Rain
  20. Here is the tank so far :-)
  21. Thanks for sharing!!! Yes I will post some pics. This process is a lot of fun and it's so interesting to learn so much in a new hobby. :-)
  22. Awesome! We will be excited to see something in there and yes, I'd rather wait for the clowns to be sure they are safe. Thank you very much!!
  23. Oh ok... I did get the ammonia spike, then the nitrite spike, and now nitrates. I got nitrates down to around 40 but can't seem to get them any lower so far. I definitely want to go slow. I don't have anything yet. So maybe I could start with a clean up crew? My first fish I'm interested in would be a young pair of the basic ocellaris clowns. Recommendations on what to do first? Thank you!!
