Thank you. My Red Sea test came in today for magnesium and I ran a test it was 800 ppm. Went right out only thing I could find was fluval magnesium. No wonder calcium was staying at 350 and not going up. Thank you again. I read only to raise 100 ppm per day so we shall see.

Ok I'm butting in sorry. What does magnesium have to do with balancing both your calcium and alkalinity. I have read where if magnesium is not high enough the two will not raise. Is this true.

I am not ready. Tank is a mess the last days my calcium is down and alkalinity. Just put a ATo on. Now I'm wondering what I need to get to make the rest stable. One frustrated person

The paperwork he showed me had before Christmas. The little sucker was gobbling down the flake food he put in tank. I'm going to wait I have never qt a fish and would hate to screw up on such a great fish.

Well saw one in a lfs and has been in my top 10. Question is that they treat there tanks with copper. Is this bad for the fish. Does that mean ich has been killed. I should put in a qt anyways? The tank is a 110 with only 2 fish a green chrome and a fox face figure everything will be fine. Maybe only a goby then to add.

Torch, zoas, hammer, polyps, frogspawn some are new additions. How hardy are montipora. What I read that temp changes are hard on them and alkalinity swings. During the summer I do get over 78 around 80.

The green montipora is one of my favorite corals. I don't know if I am ready to take care of this particular coral. The tank is a 110 high and the light is a current orbit with 2 150 halides and 2 PC 48 inch long. Tank been up and running for a year. I am sure everything is stable. I don't add calcium or anything I just do a water change about every 10 days.

Tropical tanks. Species tanks like cichlids and disks. Planted tanks. I had a 55 fish only marine tank Ran with not one problem. It was the worst stocking of fish and the worst filtration but it ran like a champ. When I moved I lost everything due to lack of experience. Then I had a 75 and a lfs store with bad advice happened so I quit. Now I'm on a 110 tall with experience but a newb at heart.

Wanted to say hello. I am from the Hagerstown area and am trying my hand at this again. I lost the battle to cyano last year and took a break. Have had a tank since I have been 12 off and on. Dream is to actually get a tank going with no problems. I know you all like pics but I'm not that good with computers so we wait till my daughter gets here to help.
