  2. beautiful tank, I think i'm going to do a lot more , buy liget such a nice looking tank, great choices on livestock
  3. That's awesome, I have about 30 in my 90 Gal, I was going to say I should try this, but then I remembered I already have 30+ and no need for them anymore lol. I am however interested in finding out how it all works out for you, I used to breed freshwater fish, but I'm way too new to saltwater to even entertain trying yet, but it's inevitable that I will do it some time in the future.

  5. I know this is kinda primitive but I usually throw a couple of pot scrubbers or scouring pads (clean ones not from my sink) in my fuge and after a week or 2 I pull one out and shake them off in my DT, you cant tell from the pic but I divided up a 30 gal my fuge holds aprox 8 gal and I never seem to run out of pods. the pic is of scouring pads but I personally think pot scrubbers work better but I'm using them in my sons tank right now to get his (my) new tank set up. 6. Thanks for the info guys, I guess i'll steer clear of the no name brands, seems like saving a few buck up front could potentially be a real headache soon after. I guess I need to be happy with an already super cheap fixture to begin with.
  7. I used the 1/8" glass for my 30 gal sump but I glued 2 pieces together for the chambers that were holding water, the baffles were just 1 x 1/8" piece of glass, you can sand quite a lot off with 80 grit sand paper I was surprised. just be careful because the edges of the glass are really sharp. I can upload a picture if you want

  9. Hi Before I do my usual rush in and buy something without asking questions first, I have a couple of questions about the 165 W LED Lights I see for sale everywhere. 1st question is what do people think of them, are they capable of running without supplemental lighting? 2nd question, what if any is the difference between the Evergrow D120 and the other cheaper Full spectrum 120/165W LED lights that are considerably cheaper. bottom line I am looking for cheap lighting for my 90 Gal and these look like the way to go, however, I don't want to throw money away on something. Oh yeah Final question do you think that 2 is enough for a 48" long 90 gal Thanks sorry if this discussion has already happened dozens of times already, I tried to search forums but came up empty.
  10. I had a similar issue, about 4 months back< waited until R2G had a special on peps and bought like 30 ( my problem was a lot worse than yours), now I think there might be 1 or 2 in my sump that I haven't bothered to deal with but my tank is good to go, however I do have 30+ peps in a 90 gal now which is quite annoying. problem solved for about $60 on R2G which was how much my I paid for my Copperband that ate all my pods and feather dusters before starving to death and dying in a garden of Aiptasia. I dont think you would need more than 10 per 100Gal but I let mine get out of hand so I had to suck it up
