  1. Thought Id give an update. I hit my year mark, yay! I have a couple additions to my tank: Coral 1 Ricardia mushroom 1 polyp that's orange w/green in the middle... Have no idea what it is lol(see pic) 2 heads of frogspawn 2 heads of hammer coral 1 tricolor anemone, so far so good with him
  2. Cool. I did a freshwater dip on my fish and it was gone in a day
  3. I had to do a w/c in under 24 hours.. The man got up to .5 I did it and the fish are more active. :-)
  4. Well these are not the type of pictures I want to post of my progress but my buddies have ich :-( I started this qt yesterday... I did a little research but any pointers you may have I sure will take. I have a pic of the product I'm using. Anyone used it?
  5. I would take it out and use gel glue to glue it on a rock/frag plug. When you glue it though, you would have to have very steady hands to make sure you don't glue it shut... I'm sure someone else may have a better idea though...
  6. ummm, water the soil year round!!!! I live on base and I don't pay for my water. I fill up my 32 gallon trash can and use that for a while until it runs out. VERY LUCKY GUY HERE!!!
  7. Thank you. I found this very interesting and I will keep my NOOB comments to myself!!! Thanks for posting!
  8. Neto, thanks for bringing this up... I never realized these were so cheap... D120's... how many would I need for my little 36g, 1?
  9. So, I put 2 snails in here and they are leaving there little nasty droplets of poo on my rock lol! This is why I want to get a Pepermant Shrimp in there, but I put one in and it died :-( Tested the the water and everything was normal. Put one in my 36g too, and he is doing fine! Eating all the aptasia in the tank! YAY! It's amazing what one Pep Shrimp is capable of lol!
  10. I guess I will comment on this... I too had this question when I started my tank up... I currently have roughly 35-40lbs in my 36g, which looks like a little bit and it seems to be doing pretty good, 8 months strong. I know, I know the tank is still young but, for what it's worth I have had my share of Cyano, algae blooms…etc, and have bounced back! I also don’t have a sump. My ammonia levels are always zero, and nitrate levels stay very low lol for the time being. I personally think that each tank differs due to the bio load. Also, the skimmer probably has something to do with it to. If you have a good skimmer, well those bad things don’t have time to break down in your system, therefore the bacteria doesn’t have to work as hard… Ah anyway, that’s my story, thought I would share lol.
  11. I've had the exact problem your having!! Although I did get lucky with one out of the two I bought from House of Tropicals...
  12. Oh no!!!! That sucks!!! Thanks, how much do they usually cost the nem?
  13. My clown does this everynight in my GSP!! The first time I saw it... I could'nt believe it!!! Let me ask you... how long does it take them to turn completly black? I think mine is about a year old...
  14. Since I've been with WAMAS, i've always admired your work Mike. Your set up does look really is clean! I'll get my tank as cleans as yours one day lol. I can only imagine how seet it will look once everything grows out! Good luck with keeping your hands out of the tank... that is sooo hard for me!

  17. See, anyone who really cares about the money they spend in this hobby shows it by the above pictures!!! LOL and that means caring for it like it's your 1st born child!!! While the contractors pass by the pretty light holding that 2X4 and ask... what's that? you say... "nothing, keep it movin!" I'm with you on this man, I don't even want the kids touching my front glass..which by the way is impossible to stop! Smart thinking!
